Springfield Junior School plans to remain open in all but the most exceptional circumstances.Examples of school closure may be localised flooding, heating failure or adverse weather conditions such as snow.
However, if it is necessary to close or partially close, Springfield Junior School will ensure that the following process is followed: Local circumstances and specific issues relating to the school site will be considered carefully. It is then the headteacher's decision whether to close the school following a discussion with the Chair of Governors. This decision will be made as early as possible so that the information can be added to the websites listed below and broadcast to the public.
In the event of school closure, your child's teacher will communicate any learning tasks via email.
