Our Pupil Premium Funding Springfield Junior School receives a Pupil Premium Grant for each child who is entitled to receive Free School Meals or who has been entitled to over the last six years, and for any ‘Looked After Children’. We publish online information about how we have used the premium. We aim for every single one of our pupil premium funded children to reach at least national expectations in all areas. We aim for group to achieve above the level at which all non-disadvantaged pupils nationally achieve and we achieve this goal consistently. We also want the attendance of our pupil premium funded children to exceed the attendance of all non-disadvantaged pupils nationally. We have largely targeted our additional pupil premium funding on:
*To ensure that it links to our school needs, we have created a pupil voice survey and discussed focus areas with all stakeholders. The policy was discussed at the governors meeting on 18th November 2021.
We were absolutely delighted to win the National Pupil Premium Award for primary schools in 2017, for making a real difference to the lives of disadvantaged pupils.
As a result, we worked with 30 schools in Suffolk, Yorkshire, Bristol and London. We have also provided presentations and workshops for a range of events across the country.
