We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and vibrant school. The role is for a mix of classroom support, delivering interventions and whole class teaching. The post will also include covering for staff absence; these sessions will be planned by the Year group team. PPA will be allocated for planning and preparation tasks. Additional hours of overtime may be available. The successful candidates will:
Have the HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Have experience of working in a primary school setting, preferable at Key Stage 2.
Have experience of delivering whole class or group teaching and/or supervising whole classes
Be confident in positive classroom management, and about to deal with challenging situations.
Have a good understanding of how children learn and can be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children.
Be able to model excellent communication and liaise closely with teachers and other staff.
