HLTA

Required from September
Salary: Grade 9 – 13 (fte)       
Full time: 35 hrs per week (8.30 am - 4pm) 39 Weeks per year. (Part time applicants may apply)
Job type: Permanent
 
We are looking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and vibrant school. The role is for a mix of classroom support, delivering interventions and whole class teaching.  The post will also include covering for staff absence; these sessions will be planned by the Year group team. PPA will be allocated for planning and preparation tasks. Additional hours of overtime may be available.
The successful candidates will:
  • Have the HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have experience of working in a primary school setting, preferable at Key Stage 2.
  • Have experience of delivering whole class or group teaching and/or supervising whole classes
  • Be confident in positive classroom management, and about to deal with challenging situations.
  • Have a good understanding of how children learn and can be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the children.
  • Be able to model excellent communication and liaise closely with teachers and other staff.
