Continuation of Learning

Children will be sent home with a blank exercise book in order to record home learning. These will be sent home on Tuesday 17th March. For those children currently self-isolating, their books can be collected from the main school office.

Activities from each class teacher will be sent home via the ParentMail System.
Each class will have an email address (see table below) so that parents or pupils can directly email staff if additional explanations are required or there are questions about the activity. Pupils could also send over pictures of their work to their teacher.

In most cases, staff will be able to answer emails from parents/pupils within 12 hours inside of normal school times. This may vary if teachers have young children themselves and therefore may be responding at different times.  A teacher might set out with parents a period of time where they will be online to support. If they are unable to do this because of illness, emails will be referred to Year Leaders/SLT to be answered.

There will be one English and one Maths activity sent home every day. These activities will mostly be revision of previous work in class which will consolidate their learning.
In addition, pupils will be expected to read daily and complete Times Tables Rockstars.

Answer sheets for each activity will be sent via email the following day to allow parents and pupils to monitor their learning on a daily basis.

If you would like to send images of some of your child's fantastic work to go on our website, please send them to Mrs Cook using the email 6C@springfieldjuniors.net.

There will also be project-based learning set for the closure period by each year group. It will have realistic expectations for what families may have at home to support this learning.

Please see our dedicated 'Home Learning' website page with links to and ideas for additional learning activities for those pupils who currently are self-isolating, or which can provide additional learning for families that would like it.

Please see the email addresses below for your child's class teacher.
