Year 3 Over a half term, each YR3 class visits the Broomhill library weekly. They are shown how to navigate the facilities, share favourite books with each other and are treated to a story telling by the library manager Helen. At the end of the project all pupils are set up with their own library card and set a summer reading challenge

Year 4Over the course of 12 weeks, Wooden Roots work with each YR4 class weekly to explore the history of the African drum, learn how to play them and use movement to express both their learning and their emotions. This culminates in a performance which the families are invited to.

Year 5For half a term, each YR5 class have a weekly workshop with a theatre practitioner from the New Wolsey Theatre. These sessions link closely to our JIGSAW PSHE scheme of work and centre around identity, The project culminates in a short performance which is shared with the adjacent classes in the year group.
